Here one I completed for an upcoming show. This particular beauty took me almost 11 hour to finish. If you were woundering why it took me so long it is because I used 8 different colors for the skin tone alone. I apply the paint in water color washes.Applying paint this way makes the color extra vibrant. Click on the image to get a super sized view and count the colors.

She looks so peaceful sleeping. That's what made me want to paint this image. She could curl up and fall asleep like this any where, anytime of day. I wish I could do the same.

I had another dream about painting. This time I held the image in my mind until I could find a pencil and paper. I made a quick drawing, then a color sketch. I ran some errands after the initial sketch and completed the painting later in the day.
